Hello Laure! To start off with, could you tell us about your background and your current line of work?

Hello! I was born in Marseilles, and I have been passionate about images from a very early age! I studied communications and photography. After that, I worked as an assistant to Lucien Clergue, founder of Rencontre d’Arles, an internationally renowned photography festival.

After 2000, I started my own studio and became a freelance photographer specialising in decor and design. I really like working with creatives from this sector, such as Margaux Keller, but also with other types of creatives in a broader sense…

According to you, which three words best describe the Gellé Frères’s ethos?

The first word that comes to my mind when I think of Gellé Frères is “Elegance,” for its uncluttered and feminine essence. I also think of “Innovation,” due to its micro-encapsulation technology. And finally, “Trendy,” for its approach to perfume, for instance, by pairing it with music.

How would you define a “Queen 2.0?”

For me, a modern-day Queen is independent and free from all constraints. She takes her future into her own hands, knows where she’s going, is confident…I see her as someone who is inventive, and of course, switched on!

When was the last time you felt like a Queen?

As recently as last month, in April! More precisely, when I took a swim in the sea for the first time this year, at the Frioul islands, off the coast of Marseilles. I felt a sense of plenitude and total freedom. You could say I was in harmony with nature…

And using Gellé Frères’s analysis, which Queen are you? Does that really represent you and what do you think of the recommended perfume?

I’m the assertive Queen, and in part, the child Queen. And I’m not at all surprised by this! Going freelance really requires confidence.

But I preferred the fragrance associated with the child Queen. The ‘Fleur d’or-enjouée’ has a luscious quality which I really like. And maybe I like to keep my cards close to my chest…Maybe I’ve got an iron fist in a velvet glove…
